Arkansas Auto-Fluff specializes in the recycling of end-of-life plastics from the waste stream of the automobile industry. The company is able to combine two current problems into one profitable solution.

Second Place – $10,000
Interactive Convenience Electronics, LLC – University of Arkansas at Fayetteville

ICE vision is to become the premier multi-user touchscreen tabletop computer service provider in the south central United States. We will strive to provide the computers, software applications, service, and expertise necessary to foster the growth of convenience electronics in this fast-paced world where time is money and convenience is golden.

Fore Your Swing seeks to provide customers with an incomparable golfing experience that fosters both entertainment and quick improvement for golfers in the communities we serve.

InnerVision, LLC – University of Arkansas at Fayetteville

InnerVision’s Smart Turbine Blade enables power generation facilities to radically change their maintenance programs, saving them millions of dollars each year on interval-based maintenance. Smart Turbine Blade captures real-time diagnostic information from inside the turbine and transmits data wirelessly to the outside.

Second Place – $10,000
BiologicsMD – University of Arkansas at Fayetteville
Team Members: Michael Thomas, Misty Stephens, Paul Mlakar, Robyn Goforth

BiologicsMD’s osteoporosis prescription drug OsteoFlor will increase bone mineral density more than twice as much as the leading medication in a single annual dose.

Third Place – $5,000
Green Valley Solar, LLC – University of Arkansas at Fayetteville
Team Members: Douglas Hutchings, Brent Bertelsen, Stephen Ritterbysh, Seth Shumate

Green Valley Solar’s method for manufacturing silicon in solar panels reduces costs and boosts performance substantially, and uses equipment the industry has used for the past 40 years.
